I got this as a family gift and it has been a big hit. We are not amazing at technology but our nine year old was able to figure out most of it. The voice control has not been easy to work with but we have gotten it to work some. We have hard wood floors so the robot moved about easily. It has a face and it has songs and dances. The two year old just loves the music. As a family, we have had a lot of fun interacting with this little robot.
So right off the bat I think I got a used one of these. Mine came in a sealed plastic bag with no box with a broken mini-usb cable. However it did work though. So my mini-me did like this little robot and its songs and dances are fun however for a very limited time. It does have the ability to be used by phone, but its coding abilities are very lacking. So lets roll into the pros/consPros:-Initial wow factor-You can remotely control it from your phone-Holds a good charge-Pretty tough and can withstand alot of abuse.Cons:-Novelty wears off fast-Coding is incredibly limited and pretty much useless for a learning tool-Voice recognition is awful-Only has 4 songsAll in all this is a cool novelty and picqued my childs interest for all of 30 minutes. Since than it just sits in the toy bin, unless I bring it out for the cats to play with. If this had more features it would be much better, but since its so lacking its really just a novelty toy to watch.
This is a fantastic gift for my 5 year old granddaughter. I wasn't sure if it would be something she's interested in,.however, she loves it. She chooses it over most of her other toys. Actually, all the kids at the party wanted to play with it. The robot was easy to use right out of the box. It rolled seamlessly, even on parts of the floor that wasn't so smooth. The sounds and images really kept her attention. This may peak her interest and she becomes a successful computer programmer. It's a start.
I got this as a gift for my nephew for his birthday. He loves this thing he is even taking it to show and tell at school. was easy to set up and sounds great.
We are happy with the Ruko robot. I bought this cute robot for my three years old daughter. She loves it so much. It has a large matrix LED screen that can show us adorable smiling eyes. It can move forward, backward, turn and look left-right, and can dance on the carpet too. Also, It can respond if we say “music”; it will dance with music. I wonder if maybe someday Ruko robot can build a robot that can play murattal and read Quran too!
We homeschool our children, so we’re always looking for creative things to incorporate into their learning. The voice commands for this robot are great and it’s definitely exciting to play with, but I also appreciate the app that comes with it. My daughter uses her iPad to program the robot to follow a set of commands or show specific things on the screen. The packaging was very impressive and sturdy, and (besides little glitches with voice command) it’s all around responsive and well made.
I initially got this for my toddler but he got tired of it fast. He wasn't super amused by it although I personally think it's a fun interactive robot. I ended up using this to entertain my 8month old baby. He loves it because it talks and it's got music and dances too. Although I cant let him just play with it unattended since it's got square edges and it's heavy which might end up hurting him. It's a fun robot to have. Installation and set up of the app on the phone was a breeze as well. Very easy and straightforward. I am actually happy with it.
I wrote a bad review because my kids lost interest over this item in a day. The company reached out almost immediately to make it right. And that says a lot. I’ve decided to keep the robot, it actually is pretty cool, and we can do som fun things with it. But when I say hands down the best customer service I’ve ever experienced, I want to give them money for going above and beyond to make it right, when there was actually nothing at all wrong with the product. Please buy everything from them, customer service like this does not exist anymore.
