Broke on third usage. This coffee press is maybe 95% plastic. The third time I used it, the plunger didn't want to plunge so I pushed harder and the plunger broke. The plunger shaft screws into a hex nut that is press fitted into filter disk. The hex screw popped out of the filter disk. I can probably repair it with the right kind of glue, but this is waaay too flimsy to be an effective coffee press. Especially for $60. My glass and stainless steel coffee press is over 10 years old and it has never failed. In my opinion, whoever designed the plunger did not know what they were doing.
R2D2 even makes Coffee. My wife surprised me with this gem. The quality seems pretty good and the coffee was great... no grounds in my cup. Also, its great having R2D2 sitting in our kitchen.
