need 2.4g wifi for it to work. anything faster it will not connect. found the best reviews for this and tried to set it up. If you have wifi faster than 2.4g it will not connect.
So AWESOME. This is my first robot vacuum and I'm amazed at how well this thing does. Can't believe that I've waited this long to get one. I live in an extremely windy and dusty location and to top it off have a German shepherd dog that sheds constantly. This vacuum handles both with ease. The app is easy to use and understand. I love that I can control it while being away from home. I wish that I got the self emptying attachment though. I will be buying a second one with the self empty dock for my down stairs.
Smart Robot. Well, I’m glad to pick Roborock, it works very good, suction, cleaning up hair and great navigation. The only thing missing is it doesn’t work on high pile carpets, and I think not so practical on medium pile, but really I’m not sure about it, maybe in the future they will come up with a new technology, but every else, it’s a very good product to have in every house.
Good until it wasn’t, when it failed spectacularly. I bought the Q5 in mid-August, 2022. Unfortunately, by the time of this review, it’s outside the return window.After two months of very limited usage, it’s started making horrible grinding noises. Not from suction, rather the simple act of rolling around is atrocious.I’d return it if I could, and likely buy a more established brand, if anything at all.
Did Not Work On High Pile Carpet. I really wish this vacuum worked but it got tangled up in my high pile carpet (see photo of carpet for reference). Very sad I have to return it.
Absolutely love this vacuum. The initial setup was confusing but their customer service was extremely helpful. Let’s just say that you’ll need to be running on a 2.4Ghz speed to hook up this vacuum at first but everything after that is following the on screen instructions. Omg it blew me away with the cleaning process and how much less battery it used to clean my apartment. I am extremely satisfied and I will definitely recommend this vacuum to everyone I know
Frequent Emptying Issues - May as well avoid the self emptying mod. Was supposed to be an upgrade from an older Roborock, and it worked great for a bit. Now the self emptying rarely works despite no apparent clogs and nearly empty bags in the unit. Instead of self emptying or being able to easily dump like other models, I’m stuck having to jam my fingers into the unit’s dustbin in order to remove everything it’s sucked up. Considerably yuckier than the models that have a way to dump them! Regretting spending this much money on worse experience.
Great but dosnt last!. Great except only had it for a year and a half and it won't find the charging dock. I've tried everything! Called roborock support and pretty much got told the warranty is over and nothing they can do. Annoying given that it's was $400 and didn't even last 2 years.
Ensures every inch of the floor is cleaned. Does a fantastic job. App shows you the entire path the robot took on the floors, and once you create the rooms with the app, you can send it for a targeted cleaning for a single room.I'm alarmed how much it picks up each day!
She’s a queen!. 2 years later - After reading reviews on all the major platforms (ie consumer reports) I went for the Roborock s4 max because of the value to price. I have a 3 bedroom and 2 pets and she can do the entire thing with one charge/Cartridge (especially since I run her regularly and so there is less pet hair to get). Absolutely great purchase that makes me happy every time. Held up in a cross country move and learned a whole new layout with no problem.
